Shrewsbury Diagnostic Imaging provides patients with the latest in diagnostic imaging in a comfortable environment. Our facility offers PET/CT, CAT Scans, MRI and MR angiography on state-of-the-art imaging equipment that has been certified by the American College of Radiology. Because SDI has a large-bore, 1.5T (high-field) MRI, getting an MRI doesn’t have to be an unpleasant, claustrophobic experience. This scanner ensures a quiet, comfortable experience for patients of all sizes. Our PET/CT scanner is the first fully integrated PET/CT scanner. What this means to the patient is that the entire test can be done on one machine in one appointment. It provides a faster more convenient, high-quality fusion PET/CT scan that is not available in most other facilities. Our multi-detector CT scanner acquires a large volume of information in a very short time allowing for a confident diagnosis and a pleasant experience for the patient.

The combined benefits of this imaging technique holds great promise in the diagnosis and treatment of many diseases, particularly cancer, advanced heart disease and Alzheimer’s. A noninvasive test, PET/CT accurately images metabolic and anatomic information in the human body in a single scan. This allows your physician to diagnose problems, determine the extent of disease, prescribe treatment and track progress.
Multidetector CT (CAT) scanners utilize multiple detectors to achieve thinner slices, faster scan times, and better image quality. MDCT scanners are revolutionizing the way radiology physicians review CT scans. These scanners acquire a volume of data rather than single slices allowing images to be reviewed in 3-D with multiplanar reconstructions. These advancements provide physicians with multiple ways to manipulate CT images resulting in improved diagnostic capabilities and better patient care.
Our MAGNETOM Espree™ is the world’s first Large Bore MRI system. This less restrictive design increases patient comfort while providing referring physicians with greater image clarity and a higher diagnostic confidence level than our competitors’ low field open magnets. Our goal is to make your MRI exam as stress-free as possible, while giving your healthcare provider the best diagnostic quality.
Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to produce images of the organs and structures of the body. It is a painless and harmless test that does not involve radiation and has no adverse effects.
